Meet Mark – Project Manager in Training at one of our west London sites. Mark is mid-way through a 135 unit development as well as learning the ropes to becoming a fully qualified and trained Project Manager. Mark currently manages a team of about 20 plumbers and more subcontractors. The challenges at the moment on site are related to the accuracy of working drawings and relating them to other trade installations already in place. “We have to be adaptable to the possibility of amended drawings. Sometimes when we get to a part of site where previous trades haven’t quite considered the heating infrastructure which follows, we have to provide solutions by varying heights to avoid clashes and changes in direction to allow other services room. This is all part of the job and we are well used to it.” Says Mark. “We will always do our best for our clients and have a flexible outlook on our job. We will always find a solution that works for everyone.” While on tour, Mark keeps his eye on every detail and takes time to explain to his team what good looks like. Some ductwork is already in place and we are pushing ahead. We are also looking after the pumps for the distribution until ready to install. We will return to site after the new year to see what progress has been made.
